GD&T Training Programs

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a system for defining engineering tolerances. This system is used by engineers and manufacturers to understand products' relations through engineering drawings and 3D models.

The system is used for nominal geometry and, as a result, plays an essential role in CMM technology and its ability to measure the geometry of objects intricately.

CMMXYZ offers a couple of different GD&T training programs to teach this engineering language to CMM operators and others with similar needs.

One Day Program

CMMXYZ's one-day GD&T program provides an overview of the language in one day-long lesson. The program follows ASME Y14.5 – 2009 standards and focuses on defining common symbols and modifiers in GD&T and interpreting them.

This course is designed for beginners and will cover high-level GD&T concepts instead of diving into more advanced language elements. This course is also ideal for those who are familiar with the topic and need a simple refresher.

GD&T Fundamentals

Our GD&T Fundamentals course introduces users to the ASME Y14.5 - 2009 standard. The program focuses on providing a general level of understanding to apply the GD&T language as needed and outlines the importance of GD&T as a whole.

The GD&T Fundamentals course is ideal for anyone with a basic knowledge of GD&T and looking to gain confidence in using it operationally and interpreting specifications.

PC-DMIS Training Programs

All of our E-Learning PC-DMIS Training Programs are also offered in class. We offer courses for those who are brand new to the software and are simply looking to expand their knowledge of the software and how to best use its intricate features.
