Portable Arm Calibration Technician
We are currently looking for a Portable Arm Calibration Technician who will calibrate portable measurement systems at our in house lab in Mississauga.
Requirements for the position are as follows:
Degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Software engineer
Strong debugging and root cause problem solving skills associated with hardware and software
Knowledge of machine controllers including installation, service, repair and communications protocol for controller diagnosis and service.
Familiar with Machine parameter adjustment to correct machine performance
Ability to diagnose problems of linear and rotary feedback systems.
Understanding of calibration techniques and related adjustment of measuring machine/machine tool parameters
Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints
Previous metrology experience and the understanding of GD&T would be considered an asset
Working knowledge of FARO or ROMER portable arms would be beneficial
Must possess good communication skills
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Highly organized & detailed oriented
Strong oral & written communication skills
Enthusiasm, positive attitude, and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
