CMM calibration service calls can be scheduled once the customer has placed the purchase order. From there, they will speak with one of our schedulers to determine the best time for your schedule.
The cost of a CMM calibration service will vary depending on the scale of work required. For calibration services in the U.S. that require a technician on-site on the shop floor, prices may fluctuate due to rising costs of food, hotels, and gasoline. Additionally, more stringent auditing procedures are involved in order to maintain our ISO/IEC 17025 certification.

Each CMM calibration procedure requires a unique timeline based on the client’s needs. At CMMXYZ, our customers can schedule their service technician with our scheduler and discuss additional travel details.
A calibration sticker is affixed to the machine after every CMM calibration service is completed. Your certificate will be provided within 10 working days.
CMMs in an air-conditioned room do not require their scales to be cleaned. During your CMM calibration procedure, your technician will clean your scales if necessary. Machines located on the shop floor should include weekly scale inspections, and regular maintenance should be arranged with your service provider.
We recommend calibrating your CMM to the current ISO 10360-2 standard.
Our turnaround time for calibrating portable CMM arms is approximately 4-5 days.
Your CMM laboratory should be set at 20 degrees Celcius +- 2 degrees. This should suffice for most machines.
Under no circumstances should you operate your CMM during the calibration process. Calibration of a CMM is a nuanced process that requires your technician to have complete access without interference. Please refrain from using the machine until your technician has given the all-clear.
Probe tips should be qualified at the commencement of every shift.
