CMM/Machine Tool Service Engineer

• Retrofit, rebuild, install and calibrate coordinate measuring machines

Requirements:

• Knowledge of machine controllers including installation, service, repair and communications protocol for controller diagnosis and service.
• Familiar with machine parameter adjustment to correct machine performance
• Ability to diagnose problems of linear and rotary feedback systems.
• Previous oscilloscope experience related to diagnosing encoder and control feedback problems
• Extensive knowledge in the use of laser interferometers and alignment lasers for the calibration of measuring machine/machine tool geometry
• Understanding of calibration techniques and related adjustment of measuring machine/machine tool parameters
• Knowledge of probing systems (preferably Renishaw)
• Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints
• Must possess good communicatio skill, reliable vehicle and have the ability to travel
