I recently had a job with a hole and a groove.
I setup 2 tools eg T1 probe with 1mm tip & T2 with a 18mm disc. I first calibrate T1 as tool one & then T2 (the disc) as Tool 2. I calibrate T1 in DCC but T2 I had to calibrate manualy. Is tgere another way of doing it? Please review. Regards. Hannes. CMM

Yes, You have done the first part correctly with the 1mm probe. When attaching the disk probe the operator needs to constrain the probing angle to /- 5 degrees so that the calibration takes place on only the spherical portion of the disk probe. This can be done in DCC using a user defined calibration mode.
