In today's challenging economic climate, companies are looking towards Measurement Service providers to fulfill their measurement needs. The ever increasing cost of sophisticated measurement equipment and the scarcity of proficient and knowledgeable personnel makes outsourcing the only financial alternative.
Unfortunately, the dilemma that many companies have is the abundance of service providers and what criteria should be involved in selection. What capability do providers have? How experienced are they? What equipment do they use? In many cases the sole criteria for selection is price. A low hourly rate does not guarantee a reasonably priced outcome nor is it a reflection of the competency of the company providing the service.
Canadian Measurement – Metrology's Measurement Services has the ultimate combination; a vast array of sophisticated measurement products combined with highly trained programmers and metrologists. We are ISO 9001/2000 and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited. Our scope include includes coordinate measuring machines, laser trackers and portable arms.
Our giant Delta gantry machine provides measurement capacity for parts up to 5 M to an accuracy of up to 17 Micron. This machine is equipped with an ultra high accuracy scanning probe enabling us to completely eliminate lobing errors associated with standard probing. Long stylus extensions to fit critical part access situations are also permissible without any loss of accuracy. The scanning capability of this machine allows us to gather thousands of data points on features and surfaces, thus providing our customers with critical information when comparing data to CAD. The gantry is also equipped with a probe changer that allows us to optimize probing selections for better metrology.
WE SAVE YOU TOLERANCE WE DON'T USE IT!
Our DEA Ghibli and Zeiss Prismo bridge machines are used for ultrahigh accuracy measurement and scanning work. These machines can be utilized with the high accuracy Metris laser scanner. This allows us to perform three dimensional precision laser scans under the 30 micron range. When comparing parts to CAD or reverse engineering of complex products we provide our customers with more comprehensive data rather than conventional probing methods.
When parts are too small or too sensitive to be measured by conventional probing methods we utilize our Optical Gaging Products Smartscope. This CCD camera-based system allows high accuracy measurement of parts that coordinate measuring machines just can't measure. Examples are circuit boards, micro switches and parts that are easily damaged or deflected. Often a combination of products are used in order to provide a measurement solution. This gives our Measurement Services Group a clear advantage.
Our on-site metrology equipment list is second to none. Our Romer Arms provide capability for on site measurement of parts, tooling and fixtures to medium accuracies. The Perceptron Laser Scanners utilized with the Romer Arms provide us with the capability for a complete on site scanning of tools, dies and reverse engineering work.

The Lieca laser tracker that the CMM employs is the most powerful device for portable 3-D measurement used in Canada. Parts up to a spherical radius of 60 M can be measured to microns using the Leica Tracker. It is fully equipped with the T probe and Steinbechler laser scanner. Almost any large-scale measurement is within our grasp; this includes complete scanning of aircraft to full positioning of automatic assembly lines and robots.
Powerful equipment is pointless without experts to run it. Canadian Measurement-Metrology Inc. has on staff Metrologists, Programmers and Millwright's who have the capability of understanding your dimensional problems and utilizing unique solutions to solve them. In fact we specialize in providing the total solution not just the data.
